Sur les hauteurs de Liège, Marcel Berlanger signe une nouvelle intervention au Centre ADEPS du Blanc Gravier où art, architecture et mouvement se rencontrent au quotidien des jeunes sportifs.
Pour prolonger ce projet, la
@cellule.archi publie un nouveau titre dans sa collection ART PUBLIC, consacré à cette œuvre intégrée au bâtiment.
🧱Rénové par
@baumansdeffet Architecture et Urbanisme, le site accueille deux interventions complémentaires :
- À l’intérieur, des portraits monochromes de sportifs et sportives belges francophones médaillé.e.s. Imprimées sur fibre de verre et appliquées sur les colonnes en béton, ces images jouent avec la trame du support, mêlant peinture et matière architecturale.
- À l’extérieur, une frise en aluminium reprend, sous forme de pixels, les silhouettes des arbres environnants. Une manière d’établir un lien subtil entre l’architecture, la nature et l’univers pictural de l’artiste.

Overlooking Liège, Marcel Berlanger presents a new intervention at the ADEPS Blanc Gravier Centre, where art, architecture and movement intersect in the daily lives of young athletes.
To accompany the project, the
@cellule.archi has released a new title in its ART PUBLIC collection, dedicated to this site-specific work integrated into the building.
🧱 Renovated by
@baumansdeffet Architecture et Urbanisme, the site hosts two complementary interventions:
- Interior: monochrome portraits of French-speaking Belgian medal-winning athletes. Printed on fibreglass and applied onto the concrete columns, these images play with the texture of the support, blending pictorial expression with architectural materiality.
- Exterior: an aluminium frieze translating the silhouettes of the surrounding trees into a pixelated pattern, creating a subtle dialogue between architecture, nature and the artist’s pictorial vocabulary.
