A year ago today we lost our dear dear girl Maddie after her Gallbladder burst. She was my first dog and the pain of loosing her has been so so hard, and Jess and I decided to make a dance film featuring the Choreography of Maddie and Jess. It won the audience choice award at the Life in Motion Colorado Dance Film Festival. I arranged and recorded Tchaikovsky's Andante Cantabile for this as it seemed a fitting piece for the film. We miss you so much Maddie and I love you so much!
That’s a wrap! Such an honor to be part of @colorado.ballet and their final performance of the season!! Bravo to Conductor Adam Flatt for his incredible conducting of Rite of Spring and Rachmaninov piano concerto No.2. David Korevaar knocked the piano concerto out of the park every performance! And finally Bravo bravo bravo to the dancers, who put on a great performance every show - all 3 pieces were phenomenal!!!
Round two here we come - can’t wait to perform with the Colorado Ballet this weekend for our second weekend of the Masterworks performance featuring Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No.2, Bach double violin concerto and Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring!!

What an amazing week getting to perform with @colorado.ballet for their masterworks performance this weekend and next. Having never played Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring before this has been an opportunity of a lifetime!! Although the last photo shows what my brain looks like after having played said Rite of Spring :). One more show today and then three next weekend - Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I’ve heard it on authority that it’s a really great show!!!
Buster playing with a pug at the dog park - he doesn’t play often, but it’s cute when he does, although the number of times this dog got in his face, maybe he wasn’t playing and was telling the other dog to get out of his face…it’s hard to tell with him sometimes…

As principal cellist of the Stratus Chamber Orchestra, frequent performer with the Boulder Philharmonic, and guest artist with the Colorado Ballet, Adam brings passion, precision, and expressive freedom to every performance. He is also the Founder and Director of the Colorado Cello Summit @coloradocellosummit , nurturing the next generation of cellists.
Adam plays Larsen Il Cannone Cello Direct and Focused strings on a cello crafted by Canadian luthier Greg Walke, demonstrating the depth, clarity, and richness our strings provide.
