After around 100 hours of stitching and knotting I am pretty happy with my indigo shibori pieces, finished in Japan - with expert advice from @indigo_inari
Though my main intention was to learn katazome stencil techniques I came away with so much information about natural dyes and working large scale… now need to mull over how to incorporate this into my practice

We had such a good time our 4-day Out of the Box creative workshop. Day one was Drawing with @steveboltonstudio . Day two was all about printmaking with @celiawalkerprint and day three was painting with @janetmaz . Day four we rolled our creative energy up into a great big ball of mixed-media and wild, wild collage. We have been busy! Snaps from Day 2 of our four day Out of the Box workshop - today was an introduction to expressive monotype, with most totally new to printmaking with @celiawalkerprint Yesterday they had a fab day of drawing with @steveboltonstudio and today, if they can manage in the storm, should be a whole new world of painting possibilities with @janetmaz - can’t wait to see what comes out of the four days!
