Today, we celebrate the birthday of Gavin Creel, a beloved friend and dedicated volunteer at God’s Love We Deliver. While performing on Broadway, Gavin gave his time, service, and compassion to our clients and their loved ones.
We recently welcomed friends and family to celebrate Gavin and his new kitchen tile with a joyful volunteer shift, one of his remembered pastimes at God’s Love. On his birthday and everyday, Gavin is forever in our hearts ❤️
Today, we dedicated a kitchen tile for beloved Broadway actor and God’s Love We Deliver volunteer, Gavin Creel. Whether on the stage or in our kitchen, Gavin gave his talent, dedication, and love to bring light to our hearts. ❤️

Still floating from my LIMELIGHT event at the @newvictorytheater . My incredible sister @celiakb hosted the whole thing with so much love, and getting to hear @alistroker , Micaela_diamond, @jharrisonghee and @madeline.a.benson perform songs that helped shape LIMELIGHT felt genuinely surreal.
Also seeing a huge group of LaGuardia students in the house… if you’ve read the book, you know why that hit me right in the heart. 🥹 It means a lot to be in a space like @newvictorytheater that’s so committed to arts education for young people.
Thank you to @henrytisch , Russell Granet, @lilyrlov and everyone who came out and made it such a special, joy-filled night. 💛✨
Big thanks for the beautiful photos @buattiramos ! 📸
It takes a village to make a new play. And this village was one of the strongest, most rigorous, talented exceptional villages I’ve ever been a part of. I’m so grateful to @publictheaterny for giving us a home and to every single artist who helped create this wild, ambitious play by @ziegler1414 . Opening nights can be weird but last night I felt so grateful to share this play with SO MANY people I love and respect. Come see us in the next month. I feel strongly that we’re trying to do something worthy. ♥️ (these extraordinary photos are all @rebeccajmichelson )

“It’s a different spin on Antigone…super accessible and relatable to our current political climate.” — Tony Shalhoub
Tony Shalhoub and Celia Keenan-Bolger sit down to discuss the world of ANTIGONE (THIS PLAY I READ IN HIGH SCHOOL) and the question at the heart of this production: What can one person do?
Anna Ziegler’s bold reimagining of Sophocles’ classic centers a young woman determined to claim authority over her own body in a kingdom ruled by archaic laws. Urgent, contemporary, and unflinching, this adaptation asks who gets a voice and who gets to use it.
Look out for more clips from Tony and Celia’s conversation about their roles, the stakes of this world, and why this adaptation feels essential right now.
