Frankly... I'm just thrilled. I am thrilled to be part of Olympia's wholly special community. Thrilled to be invited to show at @thebrotherhoodlounge for Arts Walk. Thrilled to feel like this full-time artist gig... maybe it's (I'm sorry, but) working?! This local rag is one I picked up at a coffee shop the very first week I ever visited Oly in full and thought, "Wow, how neat to have a physical publication to target all the cool stuff in this community!"
I'm just feeling really grateful. Community, like family (the ones you choose or otherwise), is everything. Link to article in bio...
Come party with me at The Brotherhood on April 25th. It'll be one for the books 📚 ✨️🎨🐈⬛⚡️🎠⚔️🥂🙌🪁🔥🍭
Thanks @lynettecharters and @olympiaartsnews for including me!
I've been going hard on the metal leaf lately, and remembering how much I dig it. I feel like it can make /anything/ spectacular, which is why I've used gold leaf on multiple public bathroom paper towel dispensers for some of my interior clients 😁.
This guy sold last week, but I'm planning on at least 4 more in a series of Battle Ponies. Got something you want gilded? Like, literally anything? I got you. #battlepony #celeryjones #letsgoldleafit
Come see me this weekend! 🎠🎈✨️🎨🍹🍸 I'll be partying down at Stardust Friday night, rolling amongst the art Saturday. On Sunday (my birthday!) I'll be bartending at the Eagles from open to close before hitting The Brotherhood Lounge to dance as @mrmaeda spins his signature deep cut soul 45s... one for the books.
⚡️SPRING ARTS WALK 2026⚡️We welcome @celeryjones ✨Please join us Friday 6-10 and Saturday 12-6!

Sitting on my brother's porch watching the sun set after walking his dog has brought me a peace i haven't felt in a very long time.
A lot is wrong with the world.
This is not.

One of my favorite things is watching someone who has been underestimated get their comeuppance. A perfect example: this classic performance by Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny (1992). She was such a blast to paint that I went ahead and did it twice! I think these look great as a diptych, two frames in a film reel as it were. But since I love you, my arm could be twisted to sell individually 😉

Milicent Patrick was an incredible American actress, makeup designer, special effects artist, and animator who designed some of the most popular creatures in cinematic history, many of them uncredited. My favorite of these is the legendary Creature From The Black Lagoon. I've been reading her biography by @malloryomeara and have loved learning more about this impressive woman! Come see some of my painted drawings, including this one, at The State theater until mid-September. @harlequin_productions Is a gorgeous space and is worth going to visit on its own, but now you have two reasons!

Hey! I have a show opening with the incredible @lynettecharters at the Harlequin Gallery this Thursday, 5:30-6:30pm in Olympia. Each work celebrates strong women who take charge of their own fate, and sometimes that of others. You should come! If you can't make it that night, be sure to check out @harlequin_productions performance of POTUS running through mid-September. It's hilarious... a comedy almost too close for comfort 😆
A little Celery lore: My brother Zach (image no.3) used to watch Terminator 2 LITERALLY EVERY DAY after school 🙄 for at least a year when we were growing up. And sometimes on the weekends. By osmosis, even I could recite most of the lines after a while. When Z & I both lived in LA- we heard about "Terminator Too: Judgement Play," a campy audience participation deal. I took the ad as a sign from God- this was what he was training for all those years ago... and as I had hoped Zach was chosen to play Arnold. The cue card girl rolled her eyes and threw them out after the first 30 seconds. Z even kept his Schwarzenegger accent on throughout the production. It remains one of the most hysterical nights of my life. You just never know how early experiences may serve your future...
Anyway here's badass Linda Hamilton in her role as Sarah Connor. Both on view at Harlequin Productions from August 21 to mid-September.
International Cat Day was on August 8th, but it's never too late to celebrate Jones(y), the ultimate survivor 😼👽😾. His mom Ripley was one baaad mamma jamma herself, and this little painting will hang in a show at the State Theater soon! @lynettecharters and I will present works featuring powerful ladies at the @harlequin_productions Gallery to coincide with their riotous production of "Potus (or Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive)". Consider this your invite to an artist reception on August 21st, then join us for the dress rehearsal! Come for the art, stay for the laughs 🎭 🖼 ✨️
