Demoted Angel (new prints, 2026)
Cyanotypes on watercolour paper, two 18x24 inch prints.
Originally a piece from 2023 (and my first cyanotypes ever) but it was one 9x12 inch diptych print with a crunchy negative made at home. I was never satisfied with the quality and always hoped to refine it eventually.
When @ellie.l.n.c asked to include it in their curated show “I’m a Person Too” it was my chance to rework it for gallery quality. After a month of workshopping, brutal trial and error and several split knuckles, I produced these massive prints 😭 (the amount of physical labour that goes into printmaking I swear…)
I’m so pleased to see the improvement!! 3 years makes such a big difference. Printing this large was a pain but I won’t lie I kinda love when process work demands literal blood sweat and tears….
A huge thank you to Ellie for letting me run with this!!
Cheers — For Lack of Better Words (Dec. ‘25)
Fiiiiiiiinally revisiting this project I started and put on hold ages ago. This one’s been in my notes for like 6 years…..
I originally envisioned doing this in my living room to stage like a house party but I like the idea of the banner itself also being an installation piece I could hypothetically put anywhere. I’m trying to branch out into more installation work in general!
Orange Peel Theory 🍊 (April ‘26)
Making a total mockery of the bullshit pop-psychology that’s rampant on social media nowadays (lol) but I was interested in exploring the narrative potential for orange peeling as a metaphor for relationships in more depth, especially in terms of emotional states. Installed for critique as a suite of eight 10x10 inch prints with orange oil rubbed on the walls that you could smell up close :)
