WHAT TIME IS YOUR DAY 2 PARTY?
If you’re having a day 2 party and completely confused as to what time you should kick off at, here’s what to consider;
- accommodation situations
- age profile
- location of day 2 party
1) Are your guests all staying the second night in the same venue or are most heading home? A lot of people might just pop their head in for some food & maybe a drink before hitting the road, especially if they’ve a bit of distance to travel. You should consider earlier kick off, with food at 2pm and music from 3.00/4.00pm.
2) Are your guests a younger crowd that enjoy nighttime partying? You might want to kick music off around 7.30/8pm to get the day 2 party back in swing!
3) Or are there more aunts/uncles/couples with kids that will want to hang out for some fun during the evening but to retire by 9/10pm? An earlier evening 5/6pm start time might be better!
4) Are you in the same venue as the night before? If guests need to check out, travel home, get dressed up and head back out to the local for day 2, a later evening start usually works best, 7.00pm onwards.
Hope this helps - the key is to think of what your guests will mostly want. To squeeze in a bit more craic before heading home that evening or to bash out another night full of partying!
