And not just that, but also De Hit van 100, Top Song, Favourite, and the Grand Slam!
In all my years as a radio promoter, I’ve never seen a song released by an independent dance label receive this kind of playlist support on national Dutch Radio directly on release day. It actually seems unlikely that such broad support has ever happened even for pop stars of great fame and renown. If I’m wrong, feel free to let me know 😊
This week, it happened with the release of Armin van Buuren & Chef’Special – ‘Larger Than Life’. This song received all the above playlist additions and various titles for powerplay of the week. It is the Anthem for Oranje during the 2024 European Championship. In collaboration with the KNVB, the entire Oranje squad can even be heard as the choir in the song 🤩
I am proud to be a part of this success and want to thank Armin van Buuren and Chef’Special for their amazing song. I hope to hear it on radio for a long time, hopefully long after the final whistle blows 😉🤞🏼
A big thanks also goes to the Music Directors of the mentioned radio stations for their support. Sometimes I have complaints, but I think they got it right this time lol.

Armin van Buuren
Over the last 17 months I’ve seen this man DJ various sets, at various gigs, promo’s and locations. I can truly say he is one of the best DJ’s I have seen over the last 30 years. Always fresh, never boring and always a perfect fit to the occasion. His knowledge of (dance) music is phenomenal and that brings so much value to his sets.
As producer, there are no bounderies in his talents and I think this is a very important reason why so many artists feel comfortable to collab. The music on his upcoming double album Balance is just a part of what he is capable of.
As a music industry professional I have never met an artist being so at his game as Armin is. And with that, the perfect artist to work with. But also fully focussed on the most important part in life, his private life. A great example for any other who is working in this industry.
Being in Top 5 of the DJ Mag list for 17 years, is an extraordinary achievement, but not surpising, if you ask me. Ranking number 4 this year is incredibe and very well deserved. 🙏🏼 #DJMagTop100
