There is no way of preparing for the loss of a family member. My grandpa lived a long life and was an incredibly personable man. I can't help but smile and laugh when reminiscing with my father over him. I only wish I could have seen him more. Te queiro abuelo, descansa en paz.

I decided I wanted to try out painting portraits so I thought I'd paint @jgraham_tx for practice.
This is my first time painting a genuine portrait of someone with actual portrait painting techniques and I actually like the way it came out. The techniques really helped a lot. Granted, it's not perfect but it's a nice start!

Had a great time today with my boy John! We went to Brazos Bend State Park where we saw alligators, different birds and plants along the trails. It was beautiful to see the diversity, and I would love to return here soon!
I'm trying out sculpting now lol. This was among my first. After watching more videos, I have a better idea on how to do things... so I will cut this one and restart it, reusing its clay and make something cooler.
