I abhor Hustle Culture.
I do not encourage early mornings and late nights. I do not endorse working on weekends and holidays. I actively discourage emails and calls outside of working hours.
In a perfect world I would love for myself and everyone in my team to not have to sacrifice personal time for professional gain.
But then there's the uncomfortable reality of being an entrepreneur and a leader. A reality underpinned by the truth that we chose to build a path where no roads existed. There's a slight contentment in knowing that those who follow won't have to cut through thickets or walk unpaved roads. The contentment comes from knowing what we're doing is purposeful and transformative albeit uncomfortable.
The problem with Hustle Culture is that celebrates discomfort instead of advocating transformation.
I pray every Saturday I work will be my last Saturday working.
I pray we all work less and get paid more as long as we do what we do excellently.
Insha'Allah.

How to use this for clarity.
Think of the creative endeavor you want clarity about (if you have several ventures, do this exercise for each one of them SEPARATELY).
You're going to map each dichotomy as a scale. So basically, draw a line. On one end, write Art, on the other end, Design. Repeat this for autotelic vs exotelic, amateur vs professional and storytelling vs design.
For the first line ask yourself what the purpose of this project or platform is: is it expression or problem solving. Scale it from 0 to 10 with 0 being art and 10 being design.
For the second one, ask who it is for. 0 being you, 10 being the general public.
For the third one, ask whether it is a commercial enterprise. 0 means hobby. 10 means jobby.
For the fourth, ask yourself how you would like it to be experienced by the desired audience.
When you are clear on purpose, audience, objectives and how to talk about it, the only thing left to do is create.
Good luck.

You don’t need 50k followers to make money from content. You need clarity on your value, your audience, and how to turn what you create into something people will pay for.
Cedric Nzomo has been pulling consultancies off just 500 followers and doing it consistently.

Don't mind me. I'm just clearing the creative rust and wiping away the cobwebs of my content creation. It's been a minute. I hope you're all doing good. Don't conquer 2026, conquer yourself.
Just because they’ve M-Pesa’d you doesn’t mean you’re safe.
No contract. No invoice. No clarity. You don’t even know what you’ve agreed to.
Some creators made millions in 2020 and are now struggling to hit 200k. Why? No systems. No sustainability.
Are you building for the long game?
