I first met @lizapalmer when we were both working on our first novels, writing together at The Coffee Table in Silver Lake. She was writing ‘Conversations with the Fat Girl’ and I was writing ‘Boy Proof’ and we were both hoping to be published writers. We did it. She went on to write a slew of amazing novels (only a few pictured in the next photo) and we continued to write in cafes on and off and be in a writing support group for years. If you were lucky enough to know her you know she was incredibly talented, generous, funny, thoughtful, wise and kind. She lit up a room. She was also a foodie like me. I have so many glorious memories with Liza, who we lost yesterday, but one of my most treasured is during lockdown when we ordered a tasting meal from Kali which she picked up and brought me and then we had a zoom supper club. We ate a lot of great meals together. Please go read all her books, you will love them. Her latest one ‘Young Fools’ just came out this past Fall. I feel incredibly lucky that I crossed paths with her in this life and called her a friend and I will miss her. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. I love you, Liza. Rest in Peace.
