Cecil Hammond (
@cecilhammond ) has announced a ₦5 billion commitment to Nigeria’s creative industry through the launch of the Flytime Foundation.
The announcement was made during his 50th birthday celebration in Lagos, which gathered over 2,000 guests across business, entertainment, and media.
The foundation will focus on performing arts education, mentorship, access to equipment, and creating structured pathways for emerging creatives in Nigeria.
Over the years, Cecil Hammond (
@cecilhammond ) has played a key role in shaping Nigeria’s live entertainment space through platforms like Rhythm Unplugged and Flytime Fest, alongside a wider ecosystem that includes Flytime Records in partnership with Virgin Music UK, H48 Talent Agency, Magicline Films, TAPE Lagos, and Mako Lagos.
The ₦5 billion commitment now positions the Flytime Foundation as a major push toward strengthening Nigeria’s creative pipeline and expanding opportunities for emerging talent.
