@cdt_oregon 🎍🎋 Don’t get to see this performed often so it was a blessing to see in person and kept alive for the next generation to learn & perform.

Cambodian Dance Troupe of Oregon proudly presents you the next generation Apsaras… Apsara Dance is the national treasure of the Royal Ballet in Cambodia 🇰🇭 this dance is the spiritual symbol of beauty, grace, feminine power, peace, harmony, strength, and resilience—the heart and soul of Cambodia. This dance portrays celestial beings that bridge the heavens and humanity. It is an honor to learn and become the main role. A dream of mine since a little girl. Forever grateful to our dance teachers Nekru Sinon Him and Nekru Chan-Phirath Farley for training us all these years to prepare us for this day. Hours of training tirelessly, preparing our costumes, getting sewn in stitch by stitch by our wardrobe team truly paid off on April 4, 2026. Thank you for trusting me, and trusting us with this 15 minute dance routine. The moment the curtain closed we all cried tears of joy because we gave it our all. I’ve never bonded closely more than with my Apsara Queens and our prez Raksa. I am truly proud of each and every one of them. We have made Cambodia and our ancestors proud; most importantly we’ve made our teachers, community, family and friends proud. This night was nothing but pure magic ✨ special thanks to my love for having the creative eye in putting this video together. Thank you everyone that have been a part of this journey. #Apsara#khmerrobam#khmernewyear#cambodia#khmerican
