Healing isn’t always loud. Sometimes it begins with a conversation, a painting, a song… or the courage to create.
Here’s a likl pripse from our latest episode of Lounge Lyme: Healing Through Creativity featuring Lesli-Ann Belnavis Elliot and Dr. Debbie Ann Chambers with host Coleen Douglas.
In this powerful discussion, we explore creativity as a pathway to healing, self-discovery, and emotional wellness — and why artistic expression matters now more than ever.

It was not meant to be a pose but I quite like it. Dropping some black girl magic on the timeline. Happy Sunday.
To my mother Maxine.
All the mothers, those present and no longer present
For the women who show up like a mom would for children who are not yours, the day is yours too.
For my single mothers, we know it is different. It is harder but it is worth it. Big up unoo self.
Happy #mothersday

DT… I’m still in shock. It was so good seeing you on Friday, you looked strong, radiant, like yourself. I would never have imagined you gone Daniel Thompson in just a few days.
Some people will never fully understand the value of a continuity announcer - the steady hand, the quiet professional who keeps everything flowing when things fall apart behind the scenes. The one who steps in when the announcer is late, when the boards feel like chaos to some of us. That was you.
I met you in 2002, and from that moment your warmth, your smile, your giving spirit never changed. Even when your shows were pulled in the name of “keeping things current,” you stayed gracious. You stayed present. You stayed dependable.
You weren’t just a picture of health, you were a picture of loyalty, of consistency, of quiet excellence.
Thank you for the role you played, not just on air, but in all of us who had the privilege to know you.
Rest well, my friend. 🕊️
@paulaanneja@derrickgassywilks@emilyshields14@orvilletaylorblackline sending love and strength cause I know this cannot be easy.
May the @rg_hrd@radiojamaica94fm pause to give him the honour he deserves.

60 years after the historic visit of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I to Jamaica, the Jamaican-Ethiopian connection remains alive, powerful, and deeply personal.
In this episode, we sit with a Jamaican living in Ethiopia and an Ethiopian voice reflecting on the cultural, spiritual, and historical bridge between both nations. From Rastafari identity to modern Ethiopia, from heritage to lived experience, this is a conversation about a mission, legacy, and what it truly means to reconnect across oceans.

Focused. Intentional. Present.
There’s a certain beauty in the quiet moments...the planning, the problem-solving, the details no one sees. This is where vision becomes reality.
Whether in culture, communication, or community work, I’ve learned that excellence lives in the preparation.
The work behind the work matters.
Building, creating, and staying committed to purpose. Always.

Rastmam Live Up!
I love curating cultural events.
This was a labour of love.
The Diamond Jubilee celebration marking the anniversary of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I visit to the Caribbean unfolded beautifully at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.
Hard work. Good work. Work that feeds the spirit.
I call it cultural stewardship.
Creating spaces for community to gather and experience culture.
These gatherings are expressions of who we are as a people.
This is important work.
It is joyful work.
Reggae Rituals is the space.
