My pretty little girl dog is still standing (and sitting and running and jumping and playing and doing a whole heap of other things that I REALLY wish she would stop doing for a while), despite the horrors of Saturday night.
She’s either really tough or really stupid……regardless, she’s still here for another day and I am beyond happy with that!
The last 24 hours have been a trip, and not a fun one like Edinburgh Fringe Festival. My dumbass Shepherd, Stacey, ran head first into a tractor ‘accoutrement’ and most certainly did not come out unscathed.
The ‘before’ pic is insane (and not appropriate for a public post - I am happy to share it if you want a private send and have a strong stomach) but not as insane as how this incredible dog has handled this ridiculous injury. We are far from out of the woods, but I am hopeful that today has been an indicator of the future (and not a very cruel instance of false hope).
So much gratitude to Dr Kara from Tableland Vet Service - the perfect mix of kindness, vet knowledge, willingness to seek help (because this is hardly a ‘standard’ injury), realism, communication and genuine care for my idiot dog. Regardless of what happens with Stacey from here, Dr Kara did an incredible job to give us today (and hopefully many more days to come). THANK YOU 🙏🏼 @steph_lacco
Macbeth, Bluegrass style. Possibly my fave* show at the @edfringe this year (and I saw a LOT of shows)!! If you get the chance to see @thebardenparty do literally anything, jump at the chance! Sadly, they are done at the Fringe for 2025 but pretty sure they will be touring NZ and (hopefully) Aus (special request for Cairns!!!).
* All Fired Up clearly the fave show, of course…. 😉
