This past Thursday Lauren Pomeroy presented her thesis research at the CCU Honors Symposium!
Her project explores curatorial studies within the Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts, focusing on improving access to and organization of the university’s Art Collection. As part of her research, she bridged her Studio Art and Art History studies to develop systems for digitizing inventories, implementing collections management practices, and cataloging data. This work resulted in the creation of a fully functional digital database using PastPerfect museum software. The project highlights both her process and findings, while emphasizing the importance of a structured collections management system at CCU.

Visual Art faculty, Ashlyn Pope, Jim Arendt, and Sandrine Schaefer celebrated our LGBTQ+ graduates at Lavender Graduation last week.
Our very own, Assistant Professor Sandrine Schaefer delivered this semester’s keynote.
We are so proud of our students on this milestone! Thanks @ccuprideclub and @ccu.sage for hosting!
Arts faculty were celebrated at the Edwards College Faculty and Staff Awards ceremony today!
A special shoutout to the recipients of the Apple Award for the Visual Arts Professor of the Year (Miranda Elston) and the Award for Distinguished Scholarship or Creative Endeavors (Dave Johnson)!
Together, they build creative, curious, and analytical thinkers who know how to see, and think, more deeply. Why the Visual Arts Matter.
While we had to take the picnic in doors due to the weather, we had a great get together with our majors and minors to conclude the semester. Best wishes to our graduates—we are so proud of you 🎓👏🏻👏🏻 #ccuarthistory #ccu_visualarts #ccuedwardscollege
