Hi Brooklyn šš¾ My nameās Christian Celeste Tate. Iām a community organizer and democratic socialist running to represent parts of Bushwick and East New York (including Cypress Hills and City Line) in the State Assembly.
Iām running because the status quo is suffocating us. We live in the wealthiest city on Earth and yet a quarter of New York families live in poverty.
Every year, the wealthy accumulate power while the working classāBlack, brown, and immigrant communities especiallyāare pitted against each other as if there isnāt enough to go around.
We have the power to build the city we deserveāone where everyone has access to housing, health care, safety, and dignityābut to do it we need representatives who are present with and accountable to the people they serve.
Our city is at a turning point. New Yorkers are demanding a new kind of politics that puts people above profit and treats every resident with the dignity they deserve. For our agenda to succeed, our state has to step up and lead.Ā
This election isnāt just an assembly campaign; itās the next step in our working class movement to take back power.
The story of Assembly District 54 is one of resilience and solidarity. Itās about families that stand up for themselves; neighbors who show up together; and working people who demand what they deserve. But the unfair development of this city has left our district to provide for itself.
Iām Christian Celeste Tate, and Iām running for State Assembly. From the protest to the courthouse; From the Community Board to the streets, I have stood with you at every opportunity.
Together weāre fighting to keep people in their homes, to defend each other from ICE, and to build public safety through community investment. And weāre going to take that fight to Albany. So stand with us. And letās build the Brooklyn we deserve.

Itās a beautiful Saturday in East New York to bring our neighbors together around a shared vision for working people.
Voters are beyond excited to hear about Christian Celeste Tateās platform, and they are ready for a bold and progressive choice on the ballot.
Today, we are showing up for Assembly District 54, knocking on hundreds of doors, and having fun doing it.
