This smart girl loves learning and exploring the world around her. For a puppy of her breed, Kobe is wonderfully well-behaved and eager to please. She already knows how to sit on command and is very treat motivated, making training both fun and rewarding. 🐾✨ Like many working breed pups, Kobe has an active mind and would thrive in a home that can keep her mentally and physically engaged. Puzzle toys, training sessions, learning new tricks, or having a “job” to do are all right up her alley. She’s the kind of dog who truly enjoys using her brain and bonding with her people along the way. Kobe can be a little unsure around other dogs at first and does best with slow introductions, patience, and positive experiences to help build her confidence. Beneath that cautious side is a sweetheart who simply needs time to feel safe and comfortable. 💛 And of course… we have to mention her adorable nose! Every CCSPCA animal has a story. Some were left behind. Some have pasts that no animal should endure. But all of them are waiting for one thing: kindness. 💛🐾 Meet Puma. Some stories are hard to tell, but they’re worth telling because of how they end. 💛 We first met Puma, a 1-year-old Shepherd blend with the most beautiful spirit, back in February as part of an investigation case. This sweet boy weighed only 35 pounds when he arrived and had been suffering from a painful embedded sock used in place of a collar - a discovery that broke our hearts. 💔 His earliest photos are too difficult to share, but the images you see here tell a different story: a boy in the middle and at the end of his healing journey, finally showing the world who he truly is. And who is Puma? He is gentle. He is resilient. He is ready to be loved. 🐶 Thanks to the generous donors who support the CCSPCA Wellness Fund and our incredibly dedicated medical team, Puma received the care he needed and deserved - and now he’s ready for his fresh start. ✨ If you’ve ever donated to our Wellness Fund, this is what your kindness looks like. Some heroes don’t wear capes - they wear badges. Humane Officers Jesse Boyce and Shalee Thornhill step into situations most people never see. Responding to neglect, investigating cruelty, and standing up for animals who can’t speak for themselves, they ensure every animal has a voice and a chance at a safer, kinder life. They exercise the powers of Peace Officers to enforce state animal cruelty laws by making arrests, serving warrants, and filing criminal charges with the Fresno County District Attorney’s office. Their work isn’t easy. It takes compassion, strength, and an unwavering commitment to doing what’s right, even when it’s hard. Because of them, animals get a second chance. Because of them, silence is not ignored. Kindness isn’t just a word - it’s action. And they live it every day.
