Congratulations to the Overland BlazerBots!
Earlier this month, their robotics team competed at the Pikes Peak Regional. After an incredible showing, they won 2nd place overall in the entire tournament! Their hard work, perseverance, and teamwork truly paid off. It was also amazing to see former students return to mentor the team.
Next stop: April competition at University of Denver. The team is already back to work improving their robot, let’s wish them luck!

If not, you are in for an amazing experience!
An Industry Sponsored Project is designed to create a unique, high-quality educational opportunity where students engage in real-world challenges presented by industry partners. These projects enhance educational objectives and are closely aligned with classroom curriculum. Collaboration between the classroom teacher and industry partner is essential to ensure the project is appropriate for our students' skill level. Additionally, a timeline and schedule must be established, including planned interactions with industry professionals.
Examples of Industry-Sponsored Projects:
· The Denver Zoo challenged our Product Design students to develop a specialized ankle cast for a hippopotamus.
· York Space Systems tasked our students with designing and creating 1st and 2nd place trophies for their Annual Chili Cook-off.
As a community, we should help develop the skills and critical thinking of our students by giving them a task/challenge/prompt and let them rise to the occasion with student-driven solutions and problem-solving!
