The @precisionrifleseries_uk Coalface Classic took no prisoners! 30mph winds, hail, rain and sunshine all in the space of 5 minutes. The match was tough going but really rewarding making impact in the condition. Great to see some new props as well @james_bass_prs_uk_ and @trez_sends_it are really keeping things fresh at matches. I managed to take second place along side my @masterpiecearms team mates @josh.precisionrifle in 1st and @lawrencebarnes_ in 3rd. Was great to share an all MPA podium. Looking forward to the next match and see if I can keep this podium streak going!

The inaugural PRS UK Coalface Classic was definitely a match to remember! Day one brought some truly biblical conditions — rain, hail, and relentless wind that tested every stage and every decision, with day two offering only slight respite with testing winds continuing to push competitors to their limits. Competitors dug in, pulled together, and put in some strong performances despite the conditions. Some fantastic new props on the firing line at Pro Shoot added some fresh challenges as well, broadening the scope of this and future matches. Josh Martin put on a clinical display, pulling ahead on day one and defending his lead to finish eight shots clear of Charles Martin and Lawrence Barnes, in second and third place respectively. What a start to the season! Back to back matches with back to back podiums… First match back I managed to take 3rd at the @nrauk precision rifle match at Bisley. It was a great one to blow off the cobwebs and massive credit to the MD @colinduncan68 for a well run day. This weekend was the first @precisionrifleseries_uk PRO series match of the year, sponsored by @masterpiecearms and @c2_precision . Huge statement from @james_bass_prs_uk_ and @trez_sends_it for the rest of the year, they really stepped up and put on a hell of a match. It was incredibly tight and everyone was shooting well. It came down to the wire on the last two stages for 2nd and 3rd, but I managed to edge into 2nd just ahead of @c2_precision and @samsteward91shooting who took 3rd and 4th. No one was catching @precisionriflejoe that day though, he was on another level and watching him work all day was a pleasure. When he’s on, he is ON! A mega couple of weekends for @masterpiecearms and great to see more and more of their chassis on the firing point. Amazing to see @custom_rifle_barrels PREFITS with barrels on all three shooters on the podium. They are doing something right in Oklahoma!

Yesterday saw the first PRS match of the year here in the UK. The @nrauk are rapidly adopting our sport of PRS and seeing the potential it has for bringing new life into shooting sports in the uk. Still recovering from the @britishshootingshow last week and @c2_precision receiving pallets of @masterpiecearms and other goodies kept me busy all week. Tweeting a ruptured disk in my back from lifting a @custom_rifle_barrels box I did not expect this weekend to turn out this way. The match was a very good way to blow the cobwebs off before next weekend - The MPA spring shootout by @precisionrifleseries_uk I plugged away all day cleaning the entire match until the very last target at 800m in front of Bush’s and shrubs. The last4 shots lost with not a splash in sight. O well. Still enough to secure the win. Well done to @precisionriflejoe for getting second and especially new MPA team member @ccm.pr for taking third place. Well done guys.

What a way to finish off the year with an invite to team MPA! It was an easy YES when I got the phone call Sunday morning. Since I first got my hands on the matrix pro 2 I knew it was the right chassis for me. Can’t wait to start 2026 season and carry on where I left off!
