📌Practical implications of the Lordship of Jesus:
🔸Obedience- Your purpose is never outside obedience. 1 Samuel 15:22
🔸Submitting our will- The Lordship of Jesus requires submitting personal agenda. Philippians 1:21
🔸Total surrender- It involves surrendering everything; achievements, successes and everything we have. It involves opening up to God and allowing Him do His work in us. Romans 12:1
📌How to show the Lordship of Christ in everyday life
🔸Your mind- The Lordship of Christ must govern your mind. 2 Corinthians 10:5
🔸Your career- Romans 6:18
🔸Your relationship- The Lordship of Jesus must govern who you covenant with.

🔸Your gifting and calling

📌The question of purpose is inseparable from the question of authority. There’s an obsession for a need for clarity that every human has and only God can satisfy it because He made us.
Psalm 100:3 states how man was made by God and how it is only God that can sustain man.
📌The first step towards understanding purpose is consecration.
📌In pursuit of purpose, we ask God why He has made us. Therefore, the question of purpose is Christocentric. There is no purpose outside Christ.
It is when you know who Christ is that you understand purpose.
📌What does Lordship mean?
‘Kyrios’- means owner, master, ruler, sovereign and one possessing authority. This words have been used to describe God.
The Lordship of Christ in the life of a believer implies that Christ is the ultimate. He is either Lord of all or Lord of none.
Colossians 3:4- Christ is the life of the believer.
📌Every man on earth is a slave but the question is “who is the master”? As believers, God is our master. We must then live as if we are owned by a master because we have been bought with a price.
📌If He is your Lord, He doesn’t need to beg you to do things. He should be able to command you, your attention, your affection, your time, your resources.
📌 Purpose is discovered through total surrender to the Lordship of Jesus.
