@2470grams is the collective exhibition presented at Milan Design Week 2026 that brought together 12 furniture and lighting pieces conceived by 18 young Catalan designers under a shared premise: each object weighed 2,470 grams.
Curated by five young professionals from the sector, the works were displayed on a single pedestal and spanned disciplines from ceramics and textiles to metalwork and glassmaking. Taking weight as a starting point, the exhibition explored the limits between sustainability, industry and craftsmanship — and proposed a more human and playful approach to everyday objects.

Joan is a designer and ceramicist whose practice is rooted in craft, shaped by a family heritage in breadmaking and ceramics, and defined by a strong sensitivity to process, repetition, and material innovation.

La amorfía, la asimetría, la desarmonía, la incorrección o, simplemente, lo burdo, son aspectos que también conectan a este artista de impulso primario con la estética del feísmo, justamente para posicionarse en contra de una expresión apolínea, delicada y cuidadosamente controlada. Algunos fondos bélicos de Velázquez, tamizados por la mirada que Cy Twombly puso sobre ellos, también aparecen aquí casi de forma inconsciente, como si manasen de un yo totalmente apartado de la realidad histórica, pero que, sin embargo, se retuerce atrapado en las fauces de la memoria visual ¡Vivimos siendo devorados por nuestros propios referentes! ¡Lo genuino se ha mediatizado!

(...) Una obra de arte, un artefacto, una cosa, que rechaza toda posibilidad especulativa decalado metafísico es un fenómeno. Para muchos críticos, depende del estado de intelectualidad en el que se encuentren, un fenómeno torpe, casi obsceno. La caída en picado de la metáfora, el hundimiento de la alegoría hasta anular por completo su razónde ser y el repudio a conciencia de todo símbolo, significarían (si significar algo viene alcaso) un abandono total a la pura ascesis. ¡La Ascesis!, gran palabra con la que se rellenó buena parte de la estética del siglo XX: ¡la liberación del espíritu!, ¡la no coerción!, ¡la verdad esencial!
