CCD’s very own Toni was among the few Pre-Competitive dancers invited to attend the Scholarship Call-back Class at this year’s YGP Philippines.
We’re thrilled to announce that she has been awarded a Short-Term Scholarship and Summer Intensive acceptance at the Alberta Ballet School in Canada, one of the world’s leading ballet schools. She has also been accepted into the Summer Program at the International Contemporary Masters in Connecticut.

The Cebuano dance community is still on a high from the wonderful opportunity to watch @abtstudioco dancers do what they do best, in our own hometown. What an inspiring weekend it was for all!
Here are some of the post event shots of the @ccdschool welcome dinner. Our students performed the Sinulog dances in its different forms: free interpretation/tribal, festival queens, and traditional (featuring our friends from the Sergians dance troupe). It became a wonderful cultural exchange that introduced Cebu to our guests and hopefully left them with good memories!
It was a whirlwind 3 weeks of preparation for us having received this surprise, but very welcome invitation. We would do it all over again, seeing how happy it made everyone involved and the sincere hard work and efforts it inspired. Thank you, once again to @sofiaelizalde@stellaabrera@sascharadetsky@abtstudioco@stepsph@ayalacentercebu for making it all happen. Our hearts are full.
Our student Raineir Deguiñon topped the 2026 Get the Beat Manila Regionals with Diamond Scores in both the Classical and Traditional Contemporary (15-19) Categories. He is also automatically qualified to join the Champion of Champions and the GTB World Finals in Kuala Lumpur.

Cebu Centre for Dance has been formally invited to participate in the first official Vaganova Ballet Academy Masterclasses in the Philippines, happening from April 30 to May 3, 2026.
This exclusive masterclass, led by Vaganova faculty, offers world-class training, valuable feedback, and a special showcase-while also serving as an audition platform for further training opportunities abroad.
Through APBA, CCD has been selected as a recipient of a 30% scholarship-an honor awarded to only a few. Our dancer, Toni Magpayo, will represent CCD in this prestigious opportunity.

We are honored to share that Cebu Centre for Dance has been officially invited as one of the performing groups for the International Dance Day Celebration 2026!

Organized by the Dance Council of Cebu in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, this prestigious event will feature over 20 dance groups across Cebu-celebrating dance as a universal language that connects communities and cultures. Our performance piece is proudly choreographed by CCD’s very own, Rufo Jeffrey Tapang.
