No filter here! Our natural dyes came out so beautiful @ccaddesign@ccaddesign ! We dyed organza, linen, bamboo rayon, silk charmeuse and cotton. The natural elements used were red onion peels (came out green), avocados (came out skin tone), orange peels+ tumeric and blueberries.

As we pause for the winter break, let’s explore the history of holiday plants in this illustrated booklet by Anna Sinyuk (Graphic Design), designed in Advanced Typography with guidance from instructor Eunice Delaquis.
No Yolks, reimagined. Katie Perdue (Graphic Design ‘26) gives a classic brand a fresh perspective in instructor Aaron Searles’ Package Design class. This project also took home a Creative Best Excellence Award in the Student Print category from @thecsca .
Snippets from the past two weeks of final reviews in Graphic, Interior, and Product Design. Huge thanks to all the reviewers who joined us, the faculty who supported every step, and - most of all - the students who worked tirelessly this semester to produce some pretty amazing work. Time for a well-deserved break!

Our Graphic Design and Product Design students attended the Columbus Society of Communication Arts’ Creative Best Awards night - and what a night it was. They delivered some outstanding work. Several students took home awards, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate their achievements.
Huge congratulations to all of our winners and to the faculty who provided guidance and mentorship!
What an incredible day with @atribeforjazz_ , @jocelyngouldmusic and @irabajon ,
We started our next Fashion illustration project, a collaboration with A Tribe for Jazz, where students will be stepping into the vibrant world and energy of Jazz. Jazz music filled the air with rhythm and improvisation, and fashion in some way mirrors that same spirit of freedom and innovation. In 1920s Harlem, Jazz music was the pulsating heart of a cultural revolution, influencing fashion through its rhythms and energetic dances, which inspired Fashion: short, loose silhouettes and dynamic accessories. The vibrant nightlife of clubs filled with jazz by legendary musicians, like Ella Fitzgerald, Bessie Smith, Bill Robinson, Lena Horne, Billie Holiday, Josephine Baker was a powerful expression of African American culture and a response to the era’s social changes.
In this project, we are fusing three different art forms: Jazz music, Fashion Design and Illustration— All into one creative exploration. Students will be pushed out of their comfort zone, working in group and individually, a great creative challenge!
Thank you @stephm_photo for making this possible and bringing such talented artists Jocelyn & Jon.
Thank you @ccadcareers@ccadedu for bringing such creative collaborations into our classrooms!
