Went for a drive this morning and came across two herd of elk. This herd was pretty close to the road.

I drove up to the mountain for some winter camping. Once I got there I just didn’t feel like snowshoeing up so I just sat and enjoyed the stars and Mt Shuksan for a while. Just a phone photo but it still sense of how great the night sky is in the mountains.

The ride on the ferry on New Year’s Eve felt just like out of a movie. It was almost suspenseful as we sailed into the fog, and the ship slowed down, blowing its horn, announcing its presence in the near zero visibility, deck hands keeping an eye out for anyone else in the water. The water was really calm and everything was very quiet. Could even hear the splash from a couple fish, jumping right in front of the ferry. Thanks to the crew for getting us to our destination safely! #wastateferry #wastateferries
He definitely enjoyed the ride to the car! Of course I think he was hamming it up a bit too :). Baker had a growth removed from his eyelid today. We had hesitated for some time due the risk of complications from sedation due to his heart murmur, but it was time to act on it. Everything turned out ok though. A very big thank you to the team at VCA (Vancouver Animal Emergency & Referral Centre) for making this a good experience. It’s not the first time we have seen them. I appreciate how every visit they have shown great compassion and kindness to us!
