This designation represents the highest level of national recognition granted by the Chinese government for the preservation, transmission, and safeguarding of Intangible Culture Heritage. It affirms Master Chen Bing’s role as a principal bearer of Chen Family Taijiquan, responsible for transmitting its authentic knowledge, skills, and cultural values to future generations. Notably, Master Chen Bing is currently the youngest national-level representative inheritor of Chen Family Taijiquan in China, reflecting both his depth of mastery and the trust placed in him by the cultural authorities. In May 2025, Master Bosco Baek received the designation “Humanity Intangible Cultural Heritage Chen Family Taijiquan Excellent Successor” (人类非物质文化遗产陈氏太极拳优秀传承人). This recognition represents an elevation from the Chenjiagou-level Intangible Cultural Heritage designation he received in 2014, to the Humanity Intangible Cultural Heritage level, associated with Chenjiagou as the UNESCO-recognized birthplace of Taijiquan. The title was officially issued on May 1, 2025, and formally presented by Master Chen Bing on October 31, 2025, at Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA in Los Angeles. Master Baek is currently the only recipient of this designation across North and South America, and accepts this recognition with humility and a deep sense of responsibility to preserve and transmit Chen Family Taijiquan according to its original principles.
