On Friday night, Rabbi Kolin argued that our greatest resilience comes not from isolation and “prepper inclinations,” but from building strong, trusting relationships with our neighbors and showing up for one another. In a world that can feel increasingly unstable, she called on us to gather, connect, and act in community—because that is what ultimately sustains and protects us. Join us this weekend for a musical Shabbaton as Leslie Goldberg prepares to be ordained as a cantor! Guest Artist-in-Residence, Eliana Light, will bring her voice and spirit to help elevate our celebration by leading services throughout the weekend, teaching a class Friday night about how prayer and futures thinking work together, and spending Shabbat morning with our Yachad families. The Shabbaton will culminate in a special havdallah concert program, and on Sunday morning, Leslie will officially drop the “erev” and become a full-fledged cantor during her ordination from HUC. Register for this unforgettable weekend at the link in bio.

On Thursday, April 30, Rabbi Timoner and Rabbi Kolin will stand with Jewish communities across the country for Jews Demand: ICE Out! at Foley Square. Earlier this week, we gathered for a powerful conversation with Rachel Goldberg-Polin on the night of her book release, When We See You Again. A self-described “tragic optimist,” Goldberg-Polin called on us to remember that joy and devastation are not separate seasons, but intertwined and an essential part of the human enterprise. Watch or listen at the link 🔗 in bio.
