Freedom Conference is coming to Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio and this is your invitation!
This is for the generation that refuses to stay stuck. The ones who want something real.
If you're in middle or high school, this is for you. Bring your people. Bring your youth group. Show up ready.
We are excited to announce that Jonathan Pokluda and Ed Newton will be joining us, with several more guest speakers still TBA.

This conversation fired me up.
Kids ministry is not babysitting. Student ministry is not just keeping teenagers entertained for an hour. We are discipling the next generation and partnering with parents to help students build a faith that actually lasts.
One of the biggest tensions we talked about in this episode is how easy it is for church to become just another activity instead of a place where students genuinely encounter Jesus.
That’s why I loved this part of the conversation so much. “This is not Church Junior, this is church.”
WHEW.
The next generation is not just the future church someday. They are the church right now. God is moving through students all across the country and I’m thankful for churches, leaders, volunteers, and parents that are investing deeply into young people instead of watering down the Gospel.
Students don’t need a watered down version of truth. They need Jesus. They need discipleship. They need people willing to walk with them, believe in them, challenge them, and point them toward purpose.
And can I say this too? What happens at home matters. Church was never meant to replace parents. We partner together so students can see faith lived out consistently both in the house and in the church.
Praying this encourages every parent, volunteer, small group leader, teacher, and pastor today. What you’re building matters more than you know.
Huge thank you to @itsagreatdaysa and Roma Villavicencio for having me on this morning! Honored to share what God is doing through @cbcsocial and invite people to Freedom Conference.
Lives are being changed. Freedom is happening. Jesus is moving in San Antonio… and we believe the best is still ahead.
Can’t wait to see what God does at Freedom Conference this year. If you’re in Middle or High School and wanna join us this Summer on June 18-19th, check out freedomconfsatx.com 📈
We are RESOURCE rich but COMMITMENT poor.
We’ve got shelves full of Bibles.
Apps full of devotionals.
Highlight colors picked out.
But there’s a difference between you having a Bible and the Bible having YOU.
One brother walked into church with a highlighter in his pocket.
Not because he was trying to impress anybody; but because he came ready to study, learn, and receive from God’s Word.
That highlighter became a picture.
Too many people highlight verses but never let the verses highlight them.
Hebrews says the Word of God is alive and active.
Meaning, Scripture is not just information to read.
It’s transformation that reads us.
When you open God’s Word, you are not just checking a religious box.
You are inviting God to shape your heart, renew your mind, and direct your life.
So yes, highlight your Bible.
But more importantly, let the Word of God highlight what needs to change in you.
Come hungry.
Come ready.
Come expecting God to speak.
Don’t just carry the Word.
Let the Word carry you!
This weekend we got to celebrate graduates from every season and stage of life! 🙌
Different stories, different paths, same milestone worth honoring.
Congrats, grads! 🎓
Listen…some conversations on the podcast get deep. Others expose who the REAL fans are. 😂
Pastor Q officially got his first Spurs jersey and somehow tried to convince us he’s been loyal this whole time. Meanwhile his son has been spotted at Spurs games wearing Lakers gear. COME ON MAN. 😭
Safe to say this episode turned into a full investigation.
Also…San Antonio Spurs = America’s Team. 🤝🏀

This conversation right here was filled with so much wisdom.
One of the most sobering things Darryl said was this… “the light on you became brighter than the light in you.”
WHEW.
Can I tell you how dangerous that is?
When the spotlight on your life becomes greater than your private life with God… eventually everything starts falling apart. Fame can’t sustain you. Money can’t heal you. Success can’t free you. Applause can’t save you.
That’s why I love the honesty in this moment. No pretending. No hiding. Just truth.
“I became a real sinner doing whatever I wanted to do.”
And isn’t that the tension of sin? In the moment it feels freeing… but eventually it always leaves you empty. You can choose your sin, but you cannot choose your consequences.
That’ll preach.
I also love when he referenced Solomon in Ecclesiastes. A man that literally had everything the world says should satisfy you… wealth, influence, accomplishments, pleasure, power… and yet at the end of it all he says, “meaningless.”
Why?
Because if God isn’t at the center of what you’re building, eventually the thing you worship will become the thing that collapses.
At the end of the day the real question isn’t “what have you built?”
The real question is…
Who are you when the spotlight fades?
Who are you when the applause stops?
Who are you when the uniform comes off?
Who are you when nobody’s watching?
Praying this conversation challenges somebody today to stop building for themselves and start building for the Kingdom of God.
This moment right here…
There are some conversations that don’t just touch your emotions… they touch your soul. And when Darryl shared this story about his father, you could feel the weight of it in the room.
Years of hurt.
Years of distance.
Years of pain.
And then the Holy Spirit whispers something difficult…
“Go forgive him.”
Not because his father earned it.
Not because everything was magically fixed overnight.
But because unforgiveness was keeping Darryl in chains.
That’ll preach.
One of the most powerful lines in this entire conversation was when he said, “The forgiveness was not for my father… it was for me.”
WOW.
Can I lovingly say this to somebody today? Some of you are carrying wounds from fathers, mothers, family members, people that hurt you deeply… and that pain has become heavy. It’s shaped how you trust, how you love, how you see yourself, and maybe even how you see God.
But grace changes everything.
Jesus forgave us while we were still broken. While we were still sinners. While we were still running. And because of that… we can extend forgiveness too.
Now hear me clearly… forgiveness doesn’t mean what happened was okay. It doesn’t erase the pain. But it does break the grip that bitterness has on your life.
There’s freedom on the other side of obedience.
There’s healing on the other side of surrender.
There’s an anointing that comes when we finally let God into the places we’ve kept closed off for years.
Praying this conversation ministers deeply to somebody today. Don’t ignore what the Holy Spirit is asking you to deal with.
The CBC Ministry Training Institute is a place for growth, calling, and hands-on vocational ministry.
Now heading into her second year, Nizone has been growing, leading, and stepping into the call that God has for her life. We’re so proud of the way she’s continuing to say yes to all God has for her!
Feeling the call of God on your life to vocational ministry? Join us Tuesday, May 26th at 6:00 PM for an evening with our CBC Pastors as they share the heart and vision behind MTI. You’ll learn more about the program and how it’s designed to equip and train individuals for ministry!
