When I attended the @chateau_orquevaux residency in February, I did a series of paintings featuring actresses from the early 1900s. My lovely ladies! They are all spoken for.

I’ve been experimenting with printing on different types of paper and I’m really loving fabric canvas paper for the prints of this specific sketch from the Sphere. Big prints, little prints, smooth paper, textured paper—I’ve got it all goin on rn. Trying to figure out what looks best. The canvas stuff is deffo my fav though.
PART 1 PRINTZ Got my new fancy printer and scanner set up so I’m finally making prints on my own 🤭 testing out paper etc and feeling good about it. A couple of weeks ago I reconnected with my Texan friend @demi.kahn.art , who I met at @chateau_orquevaux in 2023. She’s an incredible artist—she works with wires and fiber and dyes and creates all these wild, colorful shapes that jump off the wall and reach for your eyeballs. I personally see a lot of anatomy in her art, like gestural figures, organs, knotted muscles etc etc. 🫀 On top of all the fine arty stuff, Demi is also quickly transitioning into the world of interior design. We had the pleasure of seeing her home which she just remodeled. In person, her aesthetic is airy, simple but still cozy, with a special interest in gorgeous tiles and stone and other organic shapes from nature. Please check out her work when you can. It’s novel stuff that will give you goosebumps. I also included a painting I did of her son who is already in college basically where does the time go?
