Hi, my name is Chance! I'm a very cute guy with an adorable beauty mark & my nose looks like a heart. I have a quirky personality that my foster mom says is part of my charm & will sometimes pretend to be shy. Really, it's a game to get you to come to me & give me all the pets & love. I enjoy lounging in a furry pile with the other foster cats & we have a ball playing together. I'm a sucker for treats! So far, I've liked all the humans I've met and I had dogs in another foster home. I think I'd like a playful cat sibling in my new home but I may be OK as a single if you promise to wear me out playing & give me tons of attention. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at /adoption-application Chance the cat is a medium, male, domestic short hair, who is 3 years 10 months old. šŸ’› FOSTER NEEDED šŸ’› Izzy is looking for a foster home! She’s truly such a lovely dog — fully potty trained, wonderful in her crate, and overall incredibly well-behaved in the home. She walks great on a leash, knows all of her basic commands, and can be trusted when left alone. She loves her toys (especially plushies, even if they don’t always survive šŸ˜…) and enjoys relaxing in her own space. She does best with dogs around her size or larger (about 30 lbs+) and can be a little protective of her space at times, but otherwise she’s an easy, happy companion to have around. CAWS covers veterinary care and provides ongoing support — fosters provide the love, safety, and temporary home these dogs desperately need. The CAWS support network is primarily based in the Salt Lake City area, with additional support available in Vernal, Utah. Foster homes must be willing to travel to vet appointments, adoption events, and meet potential adopters in the Salt Lake Valley area. Apply here: /foster-questionnaire/

I am Marley and I am ready to be your new bestie. My foster mom says I am the perfect mix of snuggly and independent. I like hanging out with people, following you and chirping while you do chores, or sitting with you on the couch. I love toys, treats, and watching the world on my window seat. I get along with people of all ages, and have lived with other cats - I just need a proper introduction. I have not been around dogs before. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at /adoption-application Marley the cat is a medium, female, domestic short hair, who is 3 years 11 months old. Snow has been looking for a home for almost 40 days with no interest! Snow is a 2–3-year-old, medium-sized house hippo with a big love of snuggles. She’s incredibly friendly, warms up instantly to everyone she meets, and absolutely adores both people and other dogs—especially playful pups! Snow is house trained, crate trained, and a wonderful house guest. She’s mostly quiet, aside from her adorable ā€œsad hippoā€ noises if she can see you while crated and feels left out. She’s currently working on basic training and leash manners, and she’s very treat-motivated and eager to please. With a medium energy level, Snow enjoys daily walks, playtime, and hikes—but her favorite place is curled up next to you on the couch. She would do best in a home with a fenced yard, as she can wander if something catches her interest. Snow can thrive as an only dog or with a canine companion, but more than anything, she just wants a loving home where she can be close to her people. If you’re looking for a cuddly, social, and loving companion, Snow is your girl! Apply at /adoption-application

Trooper was just returned to CAWS and, without a foster home to go to, he’s now sitting in boarding šŸ’” Trooper is a 3½-year-old house hippo with the sweetest soul. He was originally found alone on a remote mountain trail above Eagle Mountain — severely emaciated, dehydrated, and barely hanging on. Thankfully, a good Samaritan stopped and rescued him. . Today, Trooper is healthy, affectionate, and deeply devoted to his people. He loves walks, hiking trails, zoomies in the yard, plush toys, and curling up beside you on the couch. He does great with other dogs and has also done well around cats and chickens. He’s the perfect mix of adventure buddy and snuggly couch companion. Trooper does have epilepsy and takes daily medication to manage his seizures. With consistent medication and regular vet care, his condition is considered manageable. He also struggles with house training and some stress-related behaviors surrounding accidents and confinement. Trooper needs someone patient, compassionate, and experienced — someone who understands that some rescue dogs need a little extra support and grace. A calm environment, minimal crate time, and a willingness to work with his needs would make an enormous difference for him. Bench Chiropractic has generously sponsored Trooper’s adoption fee! Maui is about to hit 100 days in rescue… and we truly can’t understand how this boy is still waiting. Maui is a 4-year-old certified pitopotamus — equal parts squishy, snuggly, goofy, and incredibly loving. He has the biggest smile, the softest heart, and fully believes personal space is optional if he loves you (which he will immediately). Maui absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive with a doggy sibling. He’s also wonderful with kids and so gentle at heart, though his excitement can occasionally knock over smaller little ones. Maui will make you laugh with his goofy mirror-barking antics one minute, then curl up beside you like the world’s biggest baby the next. He’s crate trained, house trained on a routine, and walks beautifully on a gentle leader. He does have mild skin sensitivities that are easily managed with anti-itch shampoo, plus routine ear cleanings — but otherwise, Maui is a happy, healthy, easygoing boy who just wants a family to finally choose him. Nearly 100 days is far too long for a dog like Maui to wait. He deserves a couch to snore on, people to adore, and a home where he never has to wonder if he’s wanted again. To meet Maui, please fill out an application: /adoption-application

šŸ’› FOSTER NEEDED šŸ’› Jasper is a handsome 9.5-year-old, 40 lb cattle dog mix looking for a foster home. Jasper is mellow, gentle, and easy to live with. While he may technically be a senior, he still loves a good adventure - whether that’s a walk, a hike, or tagging along for a car ride, but he’s just as happy curling up on the couch and relaxing at the end of the day. He’s crate trained, house trained, quiet in the home, and does well being left alone during the workday once he settles into a routine. Jasper rides wonderfully in the car and has the kind of calm, loyal personality that makes him such an easy companion. Jasper does well with other dogs and has previously lived around cats. He does need to be fed separately in his crate due to some resource guarding around food. Because of this, he would do best in a home without young children. He’s a smart boy with a great foundation already in place. He comes when called, has previously been a good off-leash companion, and would just benefit from a little continued leash work and confidence-building. If you're interested in fostering, you can complete the application here - /foster-questionnaire/

Bolt is 9 years old, and his whole world was turned upside down when his owner could no longer care for him. He’d been a longtime regular at a local boarding facility—and then one day, he was simply left behind. This 9-year-old, 64 lb pit mix is incredibly well-mannered in a home setting. He warms up quickly to new people and has a naturally affectionate personality—once you’re his person, he’s all in. Bolt thrives on routine and predictability and does best in a calm, structured environment where he knows what to expect. His absolute favorite thing in the world? Chasing water from the hose and popping bubbles—it’s impossible not to smile watching him light up. In the home, Bolt is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands like sit and stay. He’s very food-motivated, which makes training easy and rewarding. On leash, he may start off a little excited, but with a steady handler, he settles into a nice rhythm. He has a medium energy level—perfect for someone who wants a buddy for walks, a little playtime, and then relaxing together. He’s come such a long way, but at the end of the day, he’s still waiting in a kennel. He deserves a couch, a routine, and someone to call his own. Apply to meet him at /adoption-application

Socks is a very loving and curious kitty who loves to play! She is a little reserved with new people at first and will take some time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, she is not afraid to let you know when she wants attention. She will follow you around, flop on your feet, and makes cute little chirps to make sure you see her! She loves playing with toy mice and pipe cleaners, especially when the toy mice make sounds! She also loves lounging around with you. If you’re relaxing, she will sit beside you, or on your feet, or hang out between your legs. Socks would do best in a quieter home with older children. She currently lives with a dog, and could possibly live with a calm dog with a slow introduction. She must be adopted with her sister Mittens, as they are a bonded pair and rely on each other for comfort. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at /adoption-application Socks the cat is a medium, female, domestic short hair, who is 3 years 10 months old. Mittens is a very special kitty. She's a shy but sweet cat. She’s nervous to meet new people and doesn’t like loud environments. It will take time for her to get to know and warm up to you, but if you are willing to be patient and give her the time she needs, she will start to show her silly, sweet personality. She’s the softest cat you’ll ever pet! She loves playing with ribbon wands and becomes the silliest girl as she runs and jumps around to play. She is very food motivated and loves her wet cat food and treats. It may take some time, but she will come to you when she is ready and wants attention. Mittens will do best in a quieter home with older children. She currently lives with a dog and could possibly live with a calm dog with a slow introduction. She must be adopted with her sister, Socks. They are a bonded pair, and Mittens relies on Socks for comfort and confidence. Are you that perfect, patient person to help Mittens shine and become her best self?
