At the May meeting of Cavan County Council, Cathríona and Hannah from @northeastsepsisawareness , the 'Sepsis Warriors', gave a presentation to councillors on the dangers of sepsis. Know the signs: S: Slurred speech or new, sudden confusion E: Extreme shivering, muscle pain, or fever P: Passing no urine (or severely reduced output in a 12-to-24-hour period) S: Severe breathlessness or difficulty breathing I: "It feels like I am going to die" (a profound sense of impending doom) S: Skin mottled, discoloured, or very pale. New rash still visible when pressed with glass
