Mike Purkis is the President of Caulfeild Apparel Group, one of Canada’s oldest and leading apparel distributors. Caulfeild has been in business ‘Since 1886”, and Mike is the fourth-generation owner of the company and has held the title of president since 2003. Mike has built a reputation for blending business acumen with a deep commitment to brand integrity and innovation. In 2005, Mike directed the company beyond distribution/licensing and into brand ownership. Caulfeild now owns and operates Joe Boxer Canada, Benson, and Modern English. These Canadian brands are managed and designed out of their Oakville design studio.
In addition to leading some of Canada’s most recognized men’s fashion brands, Caulfeild is committed to the evolution of the apparel industry to a more sustainable future. The Purkis family is an active investor in Outland Denim, a purpose-driven brand championing sustainable production and social change. The investment reflects their dedication to responsible fashion and creating a positive impact through business. In challenging times, Mike Purkis continues to shape the future of Canadian fashion by combining bold creativity, ethical values, and entrepreneurial drive.

One of our greatest leaders has left us. James R. Purkis ran Caulfeild Apparel Group for over 40 years. He was a strategic thinker that built CAG into a leading licensing and wholesale operation in Canada. James will be missed by all he mentored and worked with over the years.
