The project is a duplex located on the top floor of a Parisian building.
A complete refurbishment requested by the new owners, a family with two children.
The challenge was to succeed in bringing together a very intimate volume, the universe of the parents, with the common areas of the apartment.
The dialogue between these two worlds had to be clear. The typology of this large volume and its position helps to sublimate the common areas, that is to say the living room, the dining room and the kitchen.
The kitchen finds its place perfectly behind this volume. It is open to the dining room which becomes the hub of the project. The living room extends in length, taken between the facade and the parental volume.
The volume containing the parental suite is designed as a house in the apartment. Its large facade pierced by two small windows creates a clear border with the living spaces.
On this floor we could then imagine an inside and an outside. Bathed in light thanks to the large bay windows, the living room, the dining room and the kitchen would represent the exterior facing the "parents' house »
