If you like books that are moody and weird, you're in luck! Pre-order links are in my bio. There will be a paperback for pre-order as soon as the book gods decide to let that happen.
In short:
-1968 New York City
-secondhand bookstore manager
-mysterious drifter
-a building full of political subversives
-cozy, but in a dysfunctional way?
-the real HEA is wanting to overthrow the government
-one of my low-plot low-conflict everyone-cries-and-has-a-snack books, but even more so
Actual information is on retailer websites, ofc. (And my website, soon enough)
The cover is by the wonderful Kelsey Bowman, who managed to do this while all the information I provided was something like "you know the harriet the spy cover? but make it a romance novel"
(Stay tuned for news about the book that's coming out in the spring!)
I am completely obsessed with the cover for STAR SHIPPED! Look at these guys!
About Star Shipped:
🪐 costars on a long running sci-fi show
🪐 they think they're enemies but they carpool
🪐 the inherent eroticism of knowing people are writing E-rated fanfic about you and your least favorite coworker
🪐 Out March 2026!
Pre-order links etc are in my bio.
I think You Should Be So Lucky has a greater crying-and-sweaters density than any of my other books (there may even be crying *in* a sweater but I am not fact checking this). Mainly this is because one of the characters is, much to his chagrin, sometimes inclined to experience emotions. Also, he is the living embodiment of midcentury Brooks Brothers and is therefore in possession of an array of cableknit sweaters.
In case this isn't clear from the graphic, this book is not an emotional support horror novel. Rather, one of the characters (Mark, the cable knit sweater one) has been obsessively rereading The Haunting of Hill House and then Eddie reads it too because impromptu gay book clubs are my favorite micro-trope.
coming in may!
(Actual information about the book is on my website if you hate trope-based marketing)

AFTER HOURS AT DOORYARD BOOKS
🎙️ Joel Leslie & JJ Hawkins
1968 New York City - Patrick just wanted to sell books. Nathaniel just wanted to lie low. Neither of them expected Dooryard Books to turn into a haven for political radicals, a grieving folk musician, two insufferably correct teenagers, and each other.

Cat Sebastian’s long-awaited foray into contemporary romance! A witty, emotional, and deliciously slow burn enemies-to-lovers romance between two costars on a popular sci-fi television series.
+ say to Bruce the dog everyone! 😉👋

Star Shipped is here! Enjoy these weirdos!
(I continue to be terrible at replying to messages; email is the best way to reach me and my email is on my website. Pretend it's 1999.)
It's here! Well, mostly. A few websites are having trouble because apparently the internet broke this morning. If you preordered, you may need to order it again. So sorry!
Anyway!
