Back at it. Working on edits for my next book and a period drama series adaptation. I took the whole of the Easter holidays off from writing. And it was amazing. I don’t usually step back from work, preferring to power through and get what I can done around family commitments, but not this time. And it’s been great actually! It’s been so creatively beneficial to take time away from constantly being available and at my desk (so to speak). For the past two weeks I’ve just been enjoying time with my family and other people’s work, books, movies, plays, podcasts, audiobooks and exhibitions. It’s been great and I’ve come back to my own projects with so much more inspiration and breadth of reference than before. All that said, glad to be back at my laptop and enjoying the flow and solitude of disappearing back into a story.
