Catrina Janan.
I was born in Australia, but for the past 11 years, Los Angeles has been my home. I embrace this beautiful celebration and tradition to honor my late husband, who passed away in 2020. Becoming Catrina Janan allows me to keep his spirit alive to walk beside him in color, love, and memory.
Through this I find peace and joy in remembering those who came before us. Día de los Muertos is not about mourning, but about celebrating the eternal bond between the living and the departed a reminder that love never dies.
