I love stories, especially spooky ones about strange, slightly scary, and obscure characters. So, to compliment your earrings, I made a Wolpertinger; a women-made creation featuring different animals—slightly spooky yet fairytale-like, or at least that’s how I like to think of it. I loved creating this piece because, as a child, I was both fascinated and scared by a Fiji mermaid I saw at an exhibition about Japan. Part monkey, part fish—a truly (and hauntingly) fairytale creation.
