Not usually one for long captions, but this one deserves it. Yesterday was truly one of the happiest days of my life. I’ve dreamed of walking the stage as a graduate for as long as I can remember. Nearly 4 years ago, I shoved fear away and decided to take a leap of faith. Juggling a full time job, a full time degree, a full time side hustle and just being a full time adult is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, BUT, I had a goal and nothing could stop me from getting to the end with First Class Honours! The late (and many sleepless) nights, the copious amount of tears and all the times I’ve wanted to throw it in towel had nothing on my support system and the self efficacy I’ve built over the years.
I’m a firm believer in timing and right now, I am exactly where I need to be - my journey is only just beginning. At nearly 32 I cannot believe I can FINALLY say, I have my degree. Never let your circumstances, your age or your background hold you back from your dreams. Just get on with it! #nevertoolate 👩🎓✨
