So it's almost been 3 weeks since the end of Edinburgh Fringe and still processing it all...!
What a week putting on my first solo play, 'My Friend, The Mountain' ⛰️🎭 went into it as green as the hills themselves, with no idea of how it was all going to turn out but have come out the other side incredibly chuffed with what I achieved 😁 learned a lot and sweated a lot throughout the week but ultimately, enjoyed it immensely!
To have had such kind and generous audiences show up for the entire week was an amazing feeling and I hugely appreciate all the lovely feedback and reviews that were received. There was such a huge spread of people in the audience, from strangers to more familiar faces. And to those many familiar faces who came throughout the week, thank you all so much ❤️ from family members to church family, school pals to old uni pals I hadn't seen in years, Scouting/Gang Show pals and a plethora of creative pals, I can't express how special it was to have had you all there and I appreciate you all making the trip to Edinburgh just to cheer me on 😁
This show may have been billed as a 'solo show' but boy has it taken so many to get it up there! To all of you who have joined my wee corner over the years and stuck there, you know who you are and you're my favourites ❤️
And the biggest shout out goes to my team who supported me throughout the whole process and helped me get over that finish line - it has been the biggest joy to work with you both on this wee show!
@srgraber your dramaturg and director support has been invaluable at every step and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to learn so much from someone with as much theatre wisdom as you! Thank you for your time, talent, passion and patience 💚
And to one of my dearest pals,
@larafullerton , thank you for throwing yourself so enthusiastically into the role of stage manager, as well as being photographer, videographer, PAT-test-certificate-getter, counsellor, therapist and everything else in between! I'm incredibly glad to share a brain cell with you 🤣
We climbed a mountain and the view was sweet indeed - can't wait to do it again soon...⛰️😁
