Time out for bees 🐝
With the environmental disasters of this administration’s legislation, war, and the proliferation of AI and its accompanying data centers, it’s even more important to support our native plants and animals. An easy and fun way is making a native bee hotel. Many native bees are solitary and like hollows, like these holes and reeds (native Joe Pye weed here). Since they don’t have hives to defend, they’re also calm and easy to live with.
Some species are ‘gregarious bees’ who live solitarily in close proximity to others. Gregarious bees would be a fantastic band name imo.
