➕ Just want to highlight my incredible daughter after an amazing season. She fought through adversity, stayed resilient, and showed leadership and toughness every single game as a Freshman. She averaged 19.1 points per game, broke the Freshman scoring record with 421 points in just 22 games, and was named First Team All-District. Proud is an understatement. Niyah led her team in almost every statistical category, all the while earning a 3.5 GPA with a very rigorous academic schedule. Although the team had a difficult season, her talent could not be denied and the coaches across the district recognized it. I’m so proud of you and all the hard work you put in. No one sees the dedication, the commitment, the early mornings, the late nights, balancing school, exams, and the grind but you do and they’ll see the pay off but you will know how you got there. You’re a special kid, and your future is incredibly bright baby girl. Freshman season complete. 19.1 PPG. 421 points in 22 games (Freshman record). 50+ 3PM. First Team All-District. The discussion will be moderated by Will York III, the Founder of @blkfathers and will conclude with a cocktail hour and mixer. Even more full circle, this space is just a few blocks from the job I left behind earlier this year.
