the only perfect memory I have is with you, in 2016. we were driving from washington to florida and had to pitch a tent on the beach in total darkeness. temperatures dropped so low and you were so tiny I worried you would freeze. I put you in a condiment cup, poked holes in the lid, and slept with you under my shirt and on my chest to keep you warm. the sun rose, quietly, and we realized we pitched a tent in the middle of many sand dunes, on the hill’s edge overlooking the pacific ocean. I hope in-between this life and the next, we will get another sunrise just like that. love u, my freaky lady 💘 I can’t believe you’ll be 10 soon.
