another great show ♡ at the end of last month! @barrelroomportland was SUCH a killer venue, i think my favorite that i've played in this city so far.
@the_eggboy was SO fucking talented. "i'm not a drummer" SURE you're not. all of ever's songs were gutwrenchingly beautiful, there were real tears in the audience. so fucking cool to play with you.
and speaking of heartwrenching beauty, @_honeychoke you perform like ANGELS. i was so moved at the sound, you are the rulers of the ethereal i swear.
i meant to post this so much sooner! mental health is bad this time of year, but i'm still so thankful i'm getting to perform and meet so many kind and talented people. i will be posting my videos from this show, too. whenever i get around to it!!

i wrote this song about a toxic relationship i had with an abuser i met earlier this year through work. it lost me not only my job and several friends, but a lot of my dignity as well. working through these emotions during the process of writing and producing this track gave me a way back into feeling some power and some agency-- even if it was just realizing the part that i played in what happened to me.
my art continues to evolve and grow as i do. i think that's such a beautiful thing. and as long as i can keep creating the way i do, the pain will never be for nothing.
