It is mental health awareness month. I havenāt posted much about bipolar lately, mostly because my coworkers are slowly starting to follow me on here š But I do want to check in and say that Iām still doing really well. My meds are doing their thing and save for a couple low days here and there Iāve been the most stable Iāve ever been. These are the days I fought so hard for during those grueling early years of my diagnosis. Iām still staying far away from sugar and am still vigilant. Iām still disabled, still in therapy, and still taking my meds. But my new normal is just thatā¦ normal. Iām so grateful.
Iām sitting in a beautiful hotel by myself in downtown Atlanta. I have had two matchas today. I just got my nails done at a spot down the street and I have an uber eats order full of snacks headed my way. Right next to me is a fresh book Iāve been meaning to read and the hotel bathroom is full of products Iām going to pamper myself with. My laptop is here and I have several medical dramas on cue. This is my Motherās Day present from John and Rio. I am complete.
This is a big day in the Itiola household. Rio drew his first recognizable drawings. He said they are āa happy face and a scared face.ā My little artist š„¹
Happy Easters from Rioās bow tie. We went to church this morning and as per tradition they let Rio take communion and he dipped his whole hand in the wine. We went for a happy meal after and told Rio about Jesus. Heād still too young to fully understand and I canāt wait until heās old enough to grasp the meaning of Jesus.
Easter is my second favorite Jesus-themed holiday, right after Christmas. It was women who found the empty tomb and first preached the resurrection of Jesus. I like when that point is driven home.

Itās this little ball of joyās 3rd birthday today. Today we surprised him with a new bike and Spider-Man helmet. 3 whole years of being a mom has been bliss. Iām going to spend today thinking back on his birth story and bathing in gratitude for this life that has been entrusted upon me. Happy birthday Rio! You are my heart!
Got my hair done while having a sinus infection. Everytime the stylist pulled my hair too hard I sneezed. My hair looks good but I definitely 0/10 having a blowout while youāre sick.
