This past weekend was unbelievable helping make history in a program hits different. We ran the first combine ever for the PLL with the top 42 lax players in the country, Thank you @spellmanperformancehq and @les7spellman for believing in @ambition_by_mb and I to carry this task. . Also huge thank you to the @pll @stxmlax the coaches and athletes for allowing us to work with you guys. The talent was unbelievable and the skill level was elite ! . As much as we love technology and dive into the why’s here are 2 simple tests to asses aceleration decel and change of direction the 5-10-5 anything below 4.3 is a really good! Triple broad jump anything above 10yds is elite! 🫡

A lil detour to 🇨🇴 before the mayhem this summer . A quick on the go training session 10 mins in the bike at 6300ft above sea level get on you zone 4 real quick followed by all body training keep it simple, 4 sets 20 reps ! Move one ! 🫡🫡

Improving your jump mechanics can get your vert up few inches, if you don’t have a clean transition during the horizontal approach and vertical transition potential energy will leak causing lower vert.

The way your athletes PR is a direct correlation on the standards you create for them. This a clear example of our standard what looked like a working set was in reality their max lift Pr for hang clean for both of them ! . It doesn’t have to be a perfect rep always during a max effort, but not creating clear expectations of what standards are for their form and execution not only it jeopardize your program, but more importantly your exposing your athlete to injury and low standards. . it shows shows who you are as a coach and what your prioritize, weights over form. Poor execution over technique, ego over accountability. . Many times athletes have gotten PRs or show me videos of PRs they achieved on their own. I hold them accountable, first will congratulate them for achieving their goal. Second I let them know to our Standards that rep doesn’t work ! Master your form first. #
