šŸ”„Meet Our CoachesšŸ”„ @jeremy_csap I’ve been interested in the science of nutrition and training since I was 14, 18 years ago now! Feeling pretty underweight and small led me down a self improvement path to increase confidence in myself. Since then, strength training and nutrition developed into a main passion in my life which I love to share. I’ve been coaching and competing since 2014, including leading @hobartpowerliftingclub and then going solo opening @catalyststrength which is welcoming to both competitive lifters and tentative trainees looking to better their health, physique and self. My passions are to develop individuals’ strength and physique through refined, high quality online and in person coaching. I am heavily interested in both the newer lifter who has an interest in development for whatever reason, as well as those who are highly advanced looking to place at National level competition and beyond. šŸ“– Qualifications šŸ“– • MSc, Exercise & Sports Science (thesis in load autoregulation in powerlifting training) • BSc, First Class Honours, Ex & Sports Sci (thesis in blood flow restriction training for hypertrophy) • BSc, Human Nutrition & Ex & Sports Sci šŸ’„ Coaching HighlightsšŸ’„ • Coached 100+ competitive powerlifters, most of them into their first competition and beyond. • Taken lifters from untrained to become National Champions. • Coached multiple nationally competitive NZ bodybuilders. • Coached numerous non-competing clients through strength gain and substantial fat loss journeys whilst minimising rebound rates. šŸ’ŖPersonal Competitive HighlightsšŸ’Ŗ • NZPF National records in the squat, deadlift, and total in the Junior U66kg class in 2016 • 🄈in Jr U66 at Oceania Champs 2016 • 🄈in Jr U66 at NZPF Nationals 2016 • šŸ„‰in Jr U74 at NZPF Nationals 2014 • Current PBs of 205kg squat, 134kg bench, and 252.5kg deadlift in U83 My books are open for a couple of in-person clients, as well as for online coaching; don’t hesitate to get in touch.

šŸ”„Meet Our CoachesšŸ”„ Hey, I’m Nickola! @fitnickpt I’ve spent a lot of my life thinking I was an unathletic person, feeling fundamentally confused about how to fuel and use my body. When I discovered strength training 5 years ago, I was revolutionised by the idea that my body was not as useless as I had always expected, and this led me down the rabbit hole of learning all about strength training, and living a healthier life. Through my journey, I have competed nationally in Strongman and Powerlifting, and have done what I can to give back to those communities that helped me find my place and my people. My clients range from national level strength athletes, to the older couple I’m helping keep their independence in their sunset years. Upskilling, learning, teaching, and sharing all brings me such joy, and I’m really looking forward to working with you all. šŸ“–QualificationsšŸ“– • Certificate III in Fitness • Certificate IV in Fitness • Unconventional Training Academy Kettlebells 1&2 • Zero Weakness Coaching Development Program • MST Systems 12 Module Strength & Conditioning, Periodisation, Anatomy & Biomechanics Course šŸ’ŖPersonal competitive highlightsšŸ’Ŗ Powerlifting: Current Competition PB’s are 192.5kg Squat, 112.5kg Bench, 219kg Deadlift (current national record) in the U84kg Class. 2 x 🄈(2024, 2025) at APA Open Nationals. Strongman: 78kg Log and 130kg Atlas Stone in the u72kg Class. Current Junior World Record Holder in the Silver Dollar Deadlift of 300kg at u82kg. āœ‰ļøApply to be coached by Nickola via @fitnickpt .

šŸ”„ Meet Our Coaches šŸ”„ @em_strengthandperformance Hi I’m Emma. I’ve been coaching since 2021: helping clients to improve strength, mobility and movement quality whilst managing pain and fatigue. I believe strength training is for everyone. It’s about building a strong, capable body that supports you in daily life and athletic performance. Whether your goal is longevity, pain management, energy, or sports performance, I take a holistic, science-based approach that adapts to your needs. Movement quality, recovery, and overall well-being are just as important as the training itself. I’ve coached individuals and small groups, helping people gain confidence in movement and build lasting strength. Some of those included clients preparing for and recovering from top surgery, as well as a strength training group for adults over 50 which focusing on bone density, confidence, and injury prevention. I focus on making training approachable and empowering, to help you progress and achieve your goals while understanding how to train effectively. I’m currently completing a Master of Sport Science, with an interest in the development and participation of women in sport. I’m passionate about helping people build stronger, more resilient bodies, whether for sport or everyday life. šŸŽ“ Qualifications šŸŽ“ • Certificate IV in Fitness • Graduate Certificate in Strength & Conditioning • Unconventional Training Academy: Kettlebells 1&2 • Unconventional Training Academy: Mobility • Master of Applied Sport Science (currently completing) Your training should work for you! Whether you’re an athlete looking to improve performance, someone managing pain or fatigue, or just wanting to build long-term strength, I’ll help you train in a way that is sustainable, adaptable, and empowering. āœ‰ļø Apply to be coached by Emma via @em_strengthandperformance

North West Open Awesome to have our southern Tas crew collabing with @emerge_sc up in Burnie for an APA comp yesterday! Massive atmosphere for a smaller comp, with newbies and experienced lifters sharing the platform. From Catalyst Strength we had 6 competitors: Coached by Nickola @forge.strength.coaching @zoethomasx in her first comp having an awesome day filled with PBs and @pirate_qwerity back on the platform after a bit of a hiatus, taking away best female overall šŸ† Coached by Jeremy @jeremy_csap @andreastsiakis with an 8/9 day, hitting a 490kg total in the 83kg juniors in his first comp. @durga.gopala reaching the 200kg milestone for a 22.5kg comp PB in the M1 52’s. @f.brodie.shw stacking some more wins with another 10kg on his total in 6 weeks, including a big milestone 225kg squat. @jvddy_ with a PB sq and bp, narrowly missing his 3rd pull which was for a 9/9 day and a total PB! Thank you to all of the volunteers who made this happen, especially Mikayla for letting us use your space! Next up is Tassie Cup in July, invitations to be sent out later this month.šŸ‘€

šŸ”„ ATHLETE DEV HOBART COLLEGE šŸ”„ We’ve had our first round of Athlete Dev students through for 2026 primarily focussing on BB Back Squats and Deadlifts! It’s always such a pleasure to take these students through movements I love, watching them apply themselves and learn new skills! They are all competitive within their own sports, so working them through the how and the why of loading their bodies with free weights when they’re hitting their own strength workouts is always such a blast! We cover a lot in the time they’re in, and we’ve had 40+ students through in the past two days! We even had a little free time at the end to play with some more unconventional strength training like grip, front holds, and log at the end of todays session! Looking forward to taking them through some strongman later this year šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

Proud of this crew for a fun day at @artgymhobart for Trilogy II! Liam and Simon @nibbienubber in their first competition which is always a daunting experience. Liam’s highlight was hitting a 150kg deadlift (+20 on training) with ease and getting massively out of his comfort zone. Simon went 8/9 with a lot of PBs and also a massive deadlift PB of 175kg on his 3rd with room to spare. Hopefully both of them keep building and we see them at Masters Nats in due course. Susie @susieyangster stealing the show as usual with a weight class drop to compete in the 63s for the first time (15kg or so down when we started last year!) with 8/9 (137.5/72.5/157.5 for 367.5) and best overall female 🌵. Very much excited for our entry into M1 next year. Brodie @f.brodie.shw with his first 9/9 showing excellent execution and confidence; PBs in all lifts - squat 217.5kg, bench 157.5kg, and a deadlift of 237.5kg to squeek out a PB. Last but certainly not least, very proud of Eagle @eagleryanzke who has just turned 70 and is still going strong. She went 6/7 (did a token squat) and unoffically broke the Aus M4 63kg National record bench, deadlift, and total - each by about 20kg! ā¤ļø Shout out to Adam @deejayayjay.insta for an awesome performance too, going at his prep and comp day solo but very much part of the @catalyststrength team for a big total PB including a very impressive 150kg squat. Next up on the calendar is Burnie next month @emerge_sc šŸ”„ Massive thank you for the competition @artgymhobart and volunteers, in particular @josiepickedup , @miskadkidd and @eilishkidd . The comp atmosphere was awesome so thank you supporters! And of course @australianpowerliftingalliance for the opportunity and all of the back-end organising and promoting.
