I was a selected artist with @houseofcaioh to paint a mural at @chef.hiro an anime themed restaurant. I decided to paint the sailor moon, this is the anime I grew up on and made me fall in love with anime. Of course I had to make it in my style so she is a calavera!

What an amazing night, thank you to everyone who was vulnerable in their grief and shared with us. I honestly didn’t know what to expect and if people would be open to then theme “donde nacen las lágrimas- where tears are born” but my community never fails me. It’s Eevee’s 9th birthday!!! Its so perfect that her cumple is on galentines day, cause she is filled with so much love to give 💕 This birthday is very important cause 2 weeks ago she got 2 tumors removed! This baby girl is a warrior. I couldnt imagine my life with out her

This was our homage to Appa during dia de Los muertos @tacoreparationsbrigade performance this muertos season.
Appa would often lay by the piano while Eric played and be at my feet while I painted, often getting paint stuck on his fur and on my canvas, I miss seeing his fur in my paintings.

This Muertos season was equally beautiful as it was tragic. You do not need to explain grief to me, for it is embedded into me like a knife.. I carry this grief with me everywhere I go but luckily for me I have a beautiful community that helps me carry my pain. Los quiero mucho un chingo 🖤
This día de los muertos hit a lot harder.. My Favorite Tio , really the only Tio I grew up with since moving to Ohio passed away and his funeral was yesterday before the event. It was a very somber day of the dead for me.. it will still alway be my favorite holiday because I know they are here with me. I had some new people/pets I had to add to my ofrenda this year. It breaks my heart that each year it gets bigger and bigger which means more people are on the ofrenda.. I just hope my loved ones and ancestors are proud of me and everything I do so their flame will never go out as long as I live 🔥
