As federal discussions continue, CAST and our community prepare. CAST’s food-security programs currently provide more than 470,000 meals each year, serving 15% of the town’s population, including 35% of its children. We are preparing for the likelihood that SNAP funds will not be released in the immediate future and people who rely on these benefits to feed their families will face mounting food insecurity. CAST is ready to meet that challenge as we expand food distributions, continue to coordinate with local grocers, farmers and concerned community members, working to ensure that all our neighbors continue to have access to fresh, healthy food.

CAST and the Mattituck Fire Department have teamed up to host a Food Drive to support a food pantry pop-up at Mattituck Fire House on Wednesday, May 13, from 2pm - 6pm for our neighbors in need, and we’d love your help.

We had such an incredible Friday at the Southold Library, teaming up with CAST to dive into the Kind News curriculum. This program is all about instilling empathy and compassion for our animal friends, and let’s just say the message really hit home thanks to some very special guests!
A huge thank you to Sherri and Abbie, volunteer fosters for North Fork Friends of Ferals, for bringing along the stars of the show: Daisy and Poppy! 🐱🌸 These two adorable kittens helped us see firsthand why caring for our furry neighbors matters so much.

What an incredible few days we had last week at CAST’s GLAM Fest! ✨💗 From confidence-building conversations to self-care and celebration, this special event brought our community together in such a meaningful way.
Participants enjoyed inspiring workshops on women’s health, creating self-care jars, and journaling, plus a deeply relaxing sound bath meditation that gave everyone a chance to pause, reset, and recharge. 🧘♀️✨
We wrapped it all up with Glam Day featuring dresses, makeup, hair, and nails, helping everyone feel confident, beautiful, and ready for their special moments ahead.
