so happy it has felt like spring is really here the past few days
i’ve been enjoying seeing the birds return, my garden seeds germinate, & the poking-up of new life all over the yard
eager to see all the beauty, life & growth this spring has in store

here’s some 5yr old flow i never posted & a wall of text
i remember so vividly how i felt on this day. the twistings of deep sadness & fear inside of me. this day had marked the beginning of a challenging & confusing breakup. someone who needed 24/7 access to me via phone or other means began withdrawing & not calling or answering texts. all after i drove them across the country to help them move & begin setting up “our” life together.
i often think about how this may have been one of the best things to have happened to me, even though i didn’t know it at the time. without this painful breakup, i might not have “met” my current partner again. we might not have hit it off this time.
a few weeks later my friend invited me to a gathering her partner went to every year, across the small lake where i spent my summers growing up. when i went to the gathering a stranger with a familiar face greeted me at the door, holding it open. i was sure i didn’t know him, where had i seen him before?
by sunset i was hearing all these giggles & whispers from his friends about how he thought he saw me on tinder & swiped right. how he was interested in getting to know me. so i approached him & we spent the night talking on the dock until the sun rose. about our upbringings, relationships, interests, hopes, fears.
we realized we spent every summer in the same lake, that him & his family would frequent the country store & icecream shop i worked at every summer in highschool. that he moved to VT at the same time i did & came into the convenience store i worked at frequently. i remembered where i had seen his face. he bought an egg sandwich at my job, & i wanted to warn him that they weren’t that good. i also wanted to tell him he was handsome. but i didn’t say either of those things to him back then.
once we left the dock, uncovering a history we didn’t know we had, we went to the cabin & shared a bed but nothing happened. we just held each other & talked more until we fell asleep.
neither of us wanted a relationship, both of us were focused on ourselves & healing from our past partners. but i really think sometimes you just KNOW. & we have been together since
did some garden planning, experimented with my clothes, journaled & played with my circles today.
spring is such an exciting time. ꕤ ｡ ˚⋆

thank you @d4nj3ll0 for going with me for emotional support, taking a break from photographing everyone to film this lil video for me, & all around being the best sister & friend. it would have taken me months to build up the courage to go if it wasn’t for you.
i was SO nervous at first. i havent been around that many people at once in years. but everyone was so nice, it felt great to be part of a flowarts community again! i had so much fun seeing everyone spin & meeting new flowmies!! i cant wait to go back ♡
(my gum chomping is totallyy part of the flow & not because i was so nervous i didnt remember to spit it out lol)

loooong flow & post! some blindfolded hooping from the other day!! (the song choice was a total coincidence & too perfect lol) 𖦹₊⊹
i like to close my eyes & hoop to music on shuffle to really make me pay attention & feel what is happening instead of focusing on how it looks. this is my first time recording it & recording my flow always makes me nervous. since returning to flowstagram i have heard a voice in the back of my head “don’t post that, the quality isn’t good” “the dance isn’t clean enough” “you aren’t outfitted cute enough” but i ignore that voice. & i will continue to ignore it.
especially since i saw a post the other day that said nobody is dancing anymore they are just apologizing when they’re beginners & performing when they’re intermediate/advanced… i see that everywhere & i feel it too.
im on this app to connect with people, not to perform for them, not to gain followers or be a follower, not to judge or be judged. i am here for connection & fun & growth!! & i am so grateful for the flowmies i have made so far. ⋆⭒˚｡⋆₊ ⊹
i hope everyone had a nice flower moon & beltane. i spent my day in solitude, cooking, dancing, reading, writing, divining, & joining the mayday strike in abstaining from shopping & social media (i don’t have work or school, otherwise i would have abstained from them as well). i totally forgot what day it was & opened insta in the morning but closed it when i realized what day it was.
so that’s a habit i want to break because i totally hopped right on insta when i woke up today too. my flowmies live in here tho so it’s hard to not get excited & rush to this app to message them or see their flow when i wake up lol
anyway!! i love you & hope you find time to dance & feel something today! ₊˚⊹♡
