I’m a mum to two brilliant teenage girls, married nearly 20 years to the most supportive husband, and I play a huge part in my brother’s world as he navigates single fatherhood after the heartbreaking loss of his beautiful wife. I help raise his two little ones — my spirited 4-year-old niece and cheeky 2-year-old nephew — and love every moment I get with them. I also care full-time for our wonderful 81-year-old mum.
I cared for my dad through nine years of early-onset dementia, and I’ve spent a lifetime showing up for the people I love. Now? I’m showing up for me too.
